Research Directions

Bypassing the conventional and unavoidable sample preparation steps in histopathology has been a long scientific pursuit. This is now feasible with Prof. Wong's virtual staining work. Together with Prof. Chen's research effort, it is also possible to have AI-assisted diagnosis to facilitate the diagnostic process further.

Doing a blood test at home is always appealing but challenging. With the hardware and software development, enabling a blood-smear home-monitor device is going to be feasible.
