Our Mission

About: List

The HKUST Research Center for Medical Imaging and Analysis (CMIA Research Center) was established in Nov 2021, aiming to solve clinically important problems using cutting-edge imaging system and/or using artificial intelligence (AI).

​

Multiple experts at HKUST have collectively accumulated significant research results in medical imaging-related fields, who also have close connections with clinicians in hospitals, medical schools, and the healthcare industry in Hong Kong, mainland China, and overseas.

​

Our mission is to be a leading and organized research center that helps facilitate more large-scale proposals and projects, enhance our international visibility, and enhance the impact of research results by advancing patient health.

  • An integrated platform - from image acquisition to medical image analysis:

    • With applications ranging from screening, diagnosis, treatment, etc.

  • Enhancing exploratory research collaborations across departments and healthcare organizations.
